The Ohio Book Review is written by James Nickras. James earned a B.A. in English from the University of Akron in 2001 and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Kent State University in 2002. His current research interests include professional baseball in the Miami Valley, the 1990s Dayton indie rock scene, the disappearing Rax Restaurants fast food chain, and SRO Hotels. James lives in a century home in the Edgewater-Cudell neighborhood of Cleveland with his wife, Christine Borne, author of the Rust Belt Reader.
